Pammie Moonlight

Pammie Moonlight lived in Sumner and raised her four children there. She was an active member of the Sumner community and ran her successful art school, “Little Picasso”, teaching lively art classes for all ages at her home on the esplanade. You might have even been lucky enough to see the bright and colourful artworks placed along the fence.

Pammie then moved to the sunny Nelson, working as a professional photographer shooting weddings and live stage shows for the Theatre Royal and Nelson Youth Theatre, along with teaching community art classes.

She then opened her gallery, coffee shop, and creative space called the “Art zone”, showcasing her work.

She is now living in very arty Melbourne, Australia, working as an artist and art teacher. Pammie ran online art classes during extended lockdowns for people across Australia and New Zealand. She has always had a passion for colour, loves the outdoors, and loves long-distance running.

She strives to capture light, mood and feeling in her colourful artwork and photography. She has always been inspired by the works of the late Canterbury artist William Sutton.

New Zealand and Christchurch will be her forever home, and she is delighted to be part of this beautiful Initiative for the Governors Bay community.
