Promotion

The event will be announced, and tickets will go on sale, in mid-June.

The event will be well-promoted, including:

  • social media (including the jetty’s Facebook page (1000+ followers) and Instagram, community Facebook pages such as Lyttelton, Governors Bay, Diamond Harbour, and Cashmere (several thousands of members between them), and paid, targeted Facebook adverts)

  • print media such as The Press, Bay Harbour News (i.e. Star Media), Metropol

  • emails to the jetty mailing list (around 600 email addresses)

  • online sites such as Christchurch City Council’s “What’s on” and Eventfinda.

Sponsorship agreement

If you are a sponsor, you get the benefits outlined above.

The agreement is that:

  • Governors Bay Jetty Restoration Trust will invoice you ahead of the event. The invoice must be paid within 14 days.

  • You must provide your content we request for the advertising and show programme by the deadline we give you.

  • If we cancel the event, for whatever reason, more than 40 days before 22 August, you will get a full refund.

  • If we cancel the event, for whatever reason, within 40 days before 22 August, you will get a 50% refund. You will have had the benefit of promotion during advertising and communications for the event and on our website.

  • If you are unable to attend, you can give your ticket(s) included as part of your sponsorship package to someone else.
